Adding to my portfolio of the best value on Trademe Radio control rs, ESCs, Servos, and Switches especially for Meccano and robotic enthusiasts, this is a reversible speed controller for use on brushed DC motors but WITHOUT a radio control system.

If you run your model directly from a DC source such as a battery or plug pack then this low cost device is just want you want for speed control Turn the knob to provide a speed control from about 5% to around 99% of the rated speed. Press the ON - OFF - REVERSE rocker switch, & the motor reverses. If you dont need reversing, check my listing for an even lower cost forward only version. I can also supply a low cost 6 or 12v 3A power supply if desired. (pay to bank account)

This uses pulse width modulation PWM technology similar to ESCs on radio control systems.

THIS MEANS THAT UNLIKE OLDER CONTROLLERS THAT VARY THE VOLTAGE THIS UNIT GIVES CONSTANT TORQUE ACROSS THE TOTAL SPEED CONTROL

Take for example the 100 rpm 6V motor I sell. Reducing the voltage down to 2 volts drops the speed down to about 30 rpm but at that speed it has no power and is close to stall. With this device & a 6V supply you can change the speed from about 5 to about 100 rpm with negligible change in torque across the range,

These work on any DC motor up to about 3A equivalent DC Current.
