Built in1997 in Christchurch by a professional boatbuilder this 1.5 metre long EC12 radio controlled model yacht named Luna Rossa in the Italian livery of Prada, it is every bit as beautiful as the original AC racer. It’s been stored away since 2001 so battery will probably need replacing along with a couple of small things like the elastic (hat elastic) that tensions the sheet. It has three sets of sails, A, B and C which are well looked after in a purpose made sail bag. It has Futaba running gear and a RMG 280 smart winch ( Aust). No problem with weed drag, no long protruding keel to slow you down, slides right over weed.
