Sig Zlin Akrobat R/C Scale Model Aircraft

Legacy Zlin Akrobat radio control model aircraft by Sig Manufacturing USA for 0.60 glow engines (10cc), scale is 2"= 1'. This is the quintessential kit of the multi prize winning model that is effectively brand new in the box but the box itself is old! It has never been unpacked until opened for the photo shoot, the plan has only been un-folded once before and hence they are in perfect condition. also includes all of the scale documentation and building instructions The balsa is in perfect condition, with no borer, as are all the other fittings that can be seen, clear canopy, undercarriage fittings, nose mouldings, a beautiful set of decals, an old style complete kit. This model features beautifully cut foam core wings and is set up for a fixed undercarriage but can evidently be fitted with retracts for those that wish to go down this path. Whilst specified for the old style 0.60 two stroke glow engine there is not reason why a four stroke could not be fitted, or to keep the cowl pristine and scale, an electric motor could be fitted. The electric configuration has the added benefit in that the propeller could be set to run in the correct direction for this model, i.e. left arc, and hence use the original cooling air intake. This is for sale as there is another model slated for construction and there is insufficient time to build them both and hence this is very reluctantly offered for sale. It would be best to pick it up, however it will be shipped for those that are be interested with best efforts being made to package it securely.
