Yamaha 8hp, 4-stroke, high thrust, long shaft with remote

Yamaha 2005 8hp FT8DEPL, high thrust, long shaft, electric start, electric tilt and battery charger. Comes with remote control for shift, tilt and throttle. Also comes with tote tank. Completely serviced with new engine oil, gearbox oil, new water pump impeller, new carburetor. Starts great, runs great, makes plenty of water at the telltale. The perfect auxiliary engine or barge engine with its high thrust gear box and high thrust propeller. Remote control with 6 meter electric, cable. Cooling earmuffs and engine stand not included. Mechanical shifting/throttle, cables not included; you must match these cables to your installation. This engine has no tiller. It is designed to operate with a hydraulic cylinder or steering linkage. The shaft that goes with the hydraulic cylinder is still in place as you can see in the photos. The shaft is stuck so rather than try to remove it, I left it in place as it is doing no harm. If you decide to use a hydraulic cylinder, you can just use the shaft. If you don't use the shaft, it does not cause a problem. Or you can unstick the shaft and remove it yourself. On sailboats, the engine is often set up to always point straight ahead with steering provided by the boat's rudder. For some auxiliary setups, the auxiliary engine is linked to the main engine for steering.
