BMW CD43 Business RDS CD Stereo - NZ NEW - suit e36 and possibly e30 e34

This auction is for 1 x factory BMW head unit stereo.

Very rare unit, and sought after internationally by BMW enthusiasts that are after a clean, factory head unit install without the clunky look of the cassette version.

This is from a NZ New Z3, but will also fit all e36 models and I believe that this model can also be installed into the earlier e30 3-series and e34 5-series models. Please google to do your own research to confirm. I think to fit the e30 and e34 models, it requires the splicing in of an e36 connector, and a modification to the stereo housing in the dash to make it sit flush.

Comes complete with the essential 4-digit security code.

Excellent physical and functional condition, works perfectly with all pixels display. A couple of minor points with this one:

1. volume knob has a slight “divot” on it - just visible in the photos but hardly noticeable when installed. I understand that new knobs can be purchased on eBay / Amazon.
2. When ejecting a CD, it needs a little helping hand to pull the CD out fully. Will push it out about 30mm but you need to grab the disc to pull it out all the way. I have had two other CD43 units and they have all done the same thing.

Receives all NZ stations up to 108 MHz without the use of a band expander.

RDS function shows radio station names and other info that some stations choose to broadcast.

Can be hooked up to a boot mounted CD stacker also.

I was keeping this as a spare for my 328i, but I have decided to sell and free up some storage space.

As this is from my personal parts collection, It is not covered by a 90-day "in trade" guarantee, however I am confident that it is a good unit, so will guarantee it for a period of 14 days from date of delivery (tracked freight used)
