IHT’s have a nominal design component life of 1000 operating hours under optimal conditions. In reality, optimal operating conditions are unrealistic and seldom possible.

bluegalaxi (11 Tuesday, 12 October 2021My 54" mower trans died. This business rebuilt it in a few days and a year later we are very happy. A dead trans makes a mower almost worthless. This cost was $700, totally justifiable.
