Up for auction is a striking and authentic Māori toki (adze) from the early Moa Hunter period.
Details: Material: Light grey argillite with natural black streaks Finish: Highly polished with fine flake scars visible on all sides Form: Slight triangular cross section tapering to a flat flaked poll Condition: Cutting edge is sharp and completely intact—an exceptional example of early Māori craftsmanship
