1932 Sterling Silver Wine Coaster – Birmingham 1932
Harder to find examples in Sterling Silver and if you do find them they are usually very expensive!!
A fine example of early 20th-century English silverware. This piece is fully hallmarked for Birmingham, 1932, with the maker’s mark JG&S (Joseph Gloster Ltd.).
Material: Solid Sterling Silver (hallmarked) Date: 1932 (Birmingham assay office) Maker: JG&S – Joseph Gloster Ltd. Weight: 160.24 grams Total Weight Dimensions: 138 mm across the top x 48.00 mm high Base: Original turned wooden insert with green baize underside
Condition: Good antique condition, with some wine bottle insert marks and showing age as expected. Could benefit from a polish if desired.
A classic piece, originally used as a wine bottle coaster, ideal for collectors of English silver, antique dining ware, or as an elegant addition to a table setting.
