TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS Term Description Specification 1 HEAT TREATMENT Hardening For maximum hardness (66 Rockwell "C" or 950 D.P.N.), heat to 770°;-790°;C (1420°;-1450°;F). Tempering Minimum 1 hour soak, immediately after hardening.||||Annealing Heat slowly to 760°;-780°;C (1400°;-1469°;F). Soak for 1 hour per inch of section and cool slowly in the furnace.||
