To make arranging shipping payment easier and safer, we're launching a new feature that lets you request shipping costs directly on Trade Me.

What’s changing?

A new "Send shipping costs" feature
If your listing has shipping set to be arranged after the sale, casual sellers can now simply click 'Send shipping costs' right from the sold listing page. Your buyer will then be able to make a secure payment via Ping from the listing to cover the cost. No bank details shared, no off-platform admin, and the transaction is fully protected.

Payment Instruction emails
As we now have a secure way to handle shipping post-trade, we are retiring the automated Payment Instructions email for casual sellers. The emails for these will be turned off on Monday 7 September, along with the option in the listing process and settings in My Trade Me. This keeps your details private and ensures the entire transaction is covered by Buyer Protection.

These changes do not impact in trade sellers.
