We’re making some changes to the prices of our promotional extras for casual sellers in Marketplace categories. These are optional upgrades that help your listing stand out.

We’ve recently looked at how each promotional extra performs, including how much more attention it brings to a listing. The new prices bring each extra in line with that performance, so what you pay better reflects what it does for your listing. It’s the first time we’ve reviewed these prices in six years.

Here’s what’s changing:

Promotional extra	Current price	New price
Standard/Gallery	$0.55	$0.99
Custom closing time/Scheduled end date	$0.25	$0.99
Reserve price	$0.25	$0.55

Standard/Gallery for Books and CDs will remain at $0.25.

The updated fees will apply to new Marketplace listings from 6 November. Relists will be charged the original price, and a small number of categories will remain on the old pricing while we move to a new system. You’ll see the price of each extra when you choose it as you list.

These changes do not impact professional sellers.
