Bombing champ returns to family land to reclaim the bach his grandfather left him

Hads Te Huia, a former bombing champ, is restoring his family's historic bach in Kawhia, fulfilling a childhood promise. The cottage, passed down through four generations of his whānau, fell into disrepair after his family moved away.

Now, Hads is bringing it back to life using donated and upcycled materials, aiming for a rustic "Raglan surf bach look." The project reconnects him with his roots and ensures the cherished family property is preserved for the future.
