Original Kiwi bach from the ‘30s has been a family haven
This 1930s bach in Piha sits amid pōhutukawa, with views from one end of the beach to the other.

The bach is one of two owned by the same family, who will be keeping the neighbouring property they have owned for nearly 40 years.
Close to the kitchen, the dining area is an open-plan space that also enjoys the view.
The slight separation between the two living spaces is useful when there are several people staying.
The kitchen is near-original. To the left of the wooden benchtop is the safe, a cupboard that pops out on the shady side of the house where food was kept chilled.
Imagine waking up to this - the main bedroom also opens to the deck.
Bunk beds maximise the smaller of the two bedrooms.
