Description

Fluke 789 ProcessMeter(TM) Fluke's 789 combined multimeter and current loop calibrator features double troubleshooting capabilities, a mA loop calibrator and safety rated digital multimeter have been combined into one compact tool for easy measurement.

Wireless monitoring is made easy with Fluke Connect(R) mobile app and desktop software compatibility, this allows users to easily share data from anywhere. Measure ac and dc current, ac and dc volts, continuity, resistance and frequency giving you more capability in less instruments. Key mA loop functions also include simultaneous mA, % scale readout, 20mA current source/simulate and 24 V loop power supply. Featuring a large dual display, an externally accessible battery, easy to use soft press buttons and dial this is the perfect user-friendly addition to any troubleshooting kit. Features and Benefits:

  • 18oC to 28 oC temperature range (for 1 year after calibration)
  • Diode test 2.000 V (shows diode voltage drop)
  • Simultaneous mA and % scale readout
  • Up to 20 kHz frequency measurement
  • Min/Max/Average/Hold/Relative modes
  • Continuity beeper
  • HART mode setting with loop power (adds 250 ohm resistor)
  • 20 mA dc current source/measure/simulate FAQ's What is a current loop calibrator? Current loop calibrators are specially designed instruments for current loop trouble shooting, testing and calibration. They can source current on unpowered devices in a loop, simulate the operation of loop powered transmitters and also measure current. These calibrators often feature time saving technology, specialist graphics using digital interfaces and micro-processor based electronics. How much current flows in each loop of a parallel circuit? Determined by Ohm's law, which states that the current between 2 points through a conductor is directly proportionate to the voltage across those 2 points, divided by the resistance of the conductor. I = V/R. This is also the case for series and parallel circuits, however in parallel circuits...
