Woodwork Project - Wine table in need of resurfacing

Woodworking project for someone? This is a small table, sometimes referred to as a wine table with an ornate leg, base and top. It measures 52.5cm across the top and is 65cm high. Not sure what type of wood it’s made of but don’t think it’s anything special. Mahogany coloured stain.

Top has been burnt in a house fire. Needs some TLC and a bit of sanding back, or maybe a new top. Might be able to organise transport (for the right price) to North island destinations like Wellington, Taupo or Hamilton as we have a trip up that way end of the month.
