Viola hederacea has pretty white and purple flowers; spreading too form a low-growing clump around 50 cm across. Leaves are distinctive and semi-circular, light green in colour. It grows quite quickly and provides good ground cover. In a pot it will easily spread over the sides with flowers cascading down the sides. Flowers are held erect above the plant as shown in the photo and put on a good display.

Plants have leaves covering most of a 9 cm pot.

They flower spring through autumn and only stops in the cold of winter and flowers well into June. They are perennial, spreading and readily set seed and will naturalise if you want them to. They prefer full sun to part shade. They do well in pots and containers or hanging baskets as well as the garden.In the garden, they provide good ground cover especially along the edge of the garden or in the dappled shade of trees.

Plants purchased up to noon Saturday each week will be shipped the following Monday or Tuesday. Plants purchased after this time will be shipped a week later. At the time of dispatch you will be sent an email with tracking information.
