This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship and enjoys a mix of construction, repairs, and on‑site problem solving.

About the Role

You'll be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing wood panelling and related structures across rural and agricultural sites. You'll work closely with project manager and other trades to complete projects safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

  • Maintain, repair, and replace existing structural components as needed
  • Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and farm‑specific design requirements
  • Select and prepare suitable materials for each project
  • Safely operate hand and power tools
  • Ensure all work meets structural and visual quality expectations
  • Work collaboratively with teams to meet project timelines
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised worksite
  • Follow all farm safety procedures and comply with health & safety regulations

What You'll Need

  • Strong practical skills and experience with hand and power tools
  • Ability to read and interpret plans or technical drawings
  • Positive attitude and reliable work ethic
  • Team‑focused mindset
  • Strong commitment to safe work practices

Why Join Us?

  • Consistent early starts
  • Supportive, easy‑going team environment
  • Varied and rewarding work across multiple agricultural sites
  • Opportunities to build on your carpentry and construction skills
  • Travel allowances provided when working in New Plymouth
