Panelling Carpenter - Agricultural Structures
Are you a hands‑on, safety‑focused worker who enjoys building practical structures that make a real impact? We're looking for a Panelling Carpenter to join our team, working across barns, stables, utility buildings, and various agricultural environments.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship and enjoys a mix of construction, repairs, and on‑site problem solving.
About the Role
You'll be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing wood panelling and related structures across rural and agricultural sites. You'll work closely with project manager and other trades to complete projects safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
Please note: From time to time, you may be required to travel to New Plymouth for short periods. When this happens, all applicable travel allowances will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, and install wood panelling according to plans and safety standards
- Maintain, repair, and replace existing structural components as needed
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and farm‑specific design requirements
- Select and prepare suitable materials for each project
- Safely operate hand and power tools
- Ensure all work meets structural and visual quality expectations
- Work collaboratively with teams to meet project timelines
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised worksite
- Follow all farm safety procedures and comply with health & safety regulations
