Civil Leading Hand / Foreman

Our client is looking for an experienced, steady-handed Civil Foreman to lead crews across a range of civil projects. If you know how to run a site, keep teams motivated, and deliver quality work safely and on time, this role will suit you perfectly.

The roleYou’ll be responsible for day-to-day site operations, coordinating people, plant, and materials while making sure work is delivered to a high standard. You’ll work closely with a Project Manager, support your crew, and keep the site organised, productive, and safe.

It’s a hands-on leadership role, so expect to be on the ground and operating machinery, all while supporting, motivating and guiding the team.

What you’ll be doing

• Leading and supervising crews across civil and drainage works
• Planning daily activities, allocating tasks, and overseeing progress
• Reading plans and ensuring work meets required specs
• Coordinating with PMs, subcontractors, and suppliers
• Spotting issues early and keeping jobs on track
• Maintaining strong H&S standards and documentation
• Operating machinery when required
• Managing daily reporting, timesheets, and site records

What we need

• Proven experience as a Foreman, or a strong Leading Hand ready to step up
• Solid background in civil construction – drainage, earthworks, roading
• Confident reading and interpreting plans
• Strong communication and leadership abilities
• Reliable, organised, proactive, and able to hold standards onsite
• WTR + Class 1 essential (Class 2 and machinery experience a bonus)
