We're on the lookout for an experienced Drainage Foreperson to lead crews on major civil infrastructure projects helping shape Wellington's future. We have multiple opportunities available across the Wellington Region.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Coordinate the activities of drainage crews and subcontractors on site
- Ensure drainage works are completed safely, to specification and on programme
- Take ownership of Health and Safety compliance across your work area
- Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors and other site teams to support delivery
- Maintain accurate records of completed works, incidents and site progress
- Identify, troubleshoot and resolve site issues as they arise
- Promote and contribute to a positive, productive site culture
- Report progress, issues and resourcing needs to the Supervisor
What You Need:
- Proven experience in a foreperson or supervisory role within the civil sector (Leading Hands ready to step up are encouraged to apply)
- Strong experience delivering drainage works
- Valid Class 1 driver licence and W,T,R
- Ability to build, lead and motivate site crews
- Confidence reading plans, drawings and specifications
- Strong leadership, organisation and time management skills
- Experience on large or complex civil infrastructure projects (advantageous)
- Sound understanding of environmental controls and impacts (preferred)
