The Role Stellar Recruitment is proud to partner with an awesome locally owned and operated Civil Contractor to help expand their thriving family owned business based in Springfield. We're on the hunt for an experienced Civil Supervisor to take on a critical leadership role, working across a wide variety of projects in the Selwyn Region including civil earthworks, roading, maintenance, playgrounds, foundations and more.

In this role you'll be required to supervise and coordinate several crew's work, including task allocation, progress monitoring and ensuring compliance with all relevant health & safety. You'll also be required to develop new business, quote, manage resources and client relationships.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • 3+ years experience in a leadership role in Civil Construction
  • Ability to work across multi disciplines and operate a variety of heavy & light machinery
  • Be a strong leader, able to motivate a crew and build long lasting relationships
  • Health & safety focused, good written and verbal communication
  • Competent in reading and interpreting plans and designs
  • A clean, full driver's licence with WTR and Class 2 (Ideally)

  • 45 hours minimum per week Monday - Friday (Saturdays when required)
