Civil Foreman

You’ll be leading from the front across a variety of civil projects including earthworks, drainage, roading, subdivisions, and concrete works. If you enjoy staying involved in the work — not just managing from the sidelines — we want to hear from you.

Location: Hamilton Lake, Hamilton Start date: Immediate start Pay rate: $40–$46 per hour

What you’ll be doing:

  • Supervising and leading site workers, subcontractors, and labourers
  • Working hands-on alongside the crew using tools and machinery

  • Reading and interpreting construction drawings and plans
  • Coordinating plant, equipment, and materials on-site
  • Conducting toolbox meetings and maintaining health & safety standards
  • Monitoring project progress and reporting to management
  • Ensuring quality control and compliance with engineering standards
  • Troubleshooting on-site issues and keeping projects moving
  • Training and mentoring junior workers and apprentices

Experience across the following would be highly valued:

  • Earthworks
  • Roading
  • Drainage
  • Concrete works
  • Kerb and channel
  • Retaining walls
  • Utilities and pipelines
  • Subdivision developments

What we’re looking for:

  • Proven leadership experience in civil construction
  • Strong hands-on experience working on the tools
  • Machine operating experience
  • WTR endorsement
  • Class 2 licence highly advantageous
  • Ability to work day or night shifts when required
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Commitment to health & safety onsite

What’s in it for you?

  • Weekly pay
  • Variety of work across multiple civil projects
  • Supportive team environment
  • Career progression opportunities
  • Immediate interviews available
  • Potential for a permanent position for the right candidate
