NZCL team is looking for energetic and motivated people to support people in their own home in Masterton.

What does a Support Worker do?|He aha te mahi a te Kaimahi Tautoko

You will support people in their home and community to lead fulfilling and meaningful lives to achieve their personal dreams and goals by doing the things they want to do such as going swimming, attending sporting events, arts and crafts, movies, or shopping - the list is endless!

This is a part time role starting at 8 hours of work per week with the opportunity to increase these hours over time.

Who are we looking for? |Ko wai ta tatou e rapu ana

  • Good communication skills
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting is essential, including experience working with youth.
  • An understanding of Intellectual Disability and Autism.
  • A desire to support people to learn new skills and achieve outcomes.
  • Creativity 'out of the box' thinking and a team player.
  • Full driver's license and owning your own vehicle is essential.

Empathy, respect, and cultural awareness is important in this role as the people we support come from diverse backgrounds with varying needs and interests.
