Our purpose‑built childcare complex, located in the Wigram Skies subdivision near Hornby, features two unique centres designed to give families choice. One offers a warm, homelike environment, while the other provides a spacious setting with a large outdoor area. Across seven classrooms, we deliver age‑specific learning experiences that support children as they grow and develop.

About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Centre Cook to join our busy team at BestStart Wigram. We are looking for someone who can prepare fresh, nutritious, and appealing meals for our children each day.
In this role, you will:
- Plan, prepare, and cook a varied and culturally inclusive menu
- Provide morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea
- Manage your time effectively in a busy kitchen
- Use your knowledge of nutrition to support healthy eating habits
This is a permanent, full‑time position working 35–40 hours, Monday to Friday.
What We're Looking For
- Strong kitchen health and safety knowledge and high hygiene standards
- A passion for cooking and baking
- Understanding of allergies and dietary requirements
- Confidence using a computer to design menus and place weekly orders
- Ability to work within food budgets
- A genuine commitment to promoting healthy eating for young children
