Are you looking for a change or ready to take the next step in administration and join an ECE centre in a permanent role?
About the Role - Korero mo te Turanga As our Centre Administrator, no two days will be the same. You will be the welcoming face to greet our whanau and tamariki here at Educare Two Rivers in Ngāruawāhia.
From the minute someone steps into our centre you will be the face to greet our whanau and tamariki and make everyone feel welcome. You will work with our Kaiako and whanau to create and embrace a culture of manaaki; as we learn together and respect each other's ways of knowing, being and doing.
This role is part-time for 27.5 hours per week, working 7.30am - 1.30pm, Monday to Friday. The hours of work are not negotiable, so you need to be able to commit to the 7.30am start to be considered.
Pay rate is determined by experience and qualifications - Hourly rate range between $25-$29.
What you will bring - Ngā tohungatanga mō tēnei tūranga This role is to support our amazing Centre Manager and is crucial in ensuring the smooth and effective operation of the centre's administrative processes.
You will work collaboratively with the Centre Manager to assist our centre in providing the best education to our tamariki whilst adhering to the Ministry's requirements. You will be based in our reception area, welcoming visitors with a friendly smile and welcoming attitude, if you have connections and experience within the local community this will be highly valued in this role.
You will be supported in your role by the Centre Manager, Area Manager and Educare Head Office Administration Team to aid in ensuring our centre is providing the best education to our Tamariki whilst adhering to the Ministry of Education's requirements.
We are looking for someone who:
- Warm, approachable manner, helpful, flexible and able to problem solve while being professional, approachable and friendly when engaging with whānau and staff.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- High attention to detail, particularly with records, compliance, and documentation
- Understanding and experience of debtors and accounts
- Confident and professional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently while also being a supportive member of the centre team
- Sound computer skills and confidence using administrative systems (e.g. enrolments, attendance, invoicing, rosters)
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to adapt in a busy, fast-paced environment
- Alignment with the centre’s values and commitment to supporting high-quality outcomes for tamariki
- Experience with ECE administration, funding processes, or compliance requirements is desirable but not essential
