Description

PAK'nSAVE Royal Oak is seeking an experienced and driven Inventory Controller Manager to lead our Cycle Counting function and champion inventory accuracy across the store. This is a critical leadership role within our Nightfill and Stock Operations space, overseeing inventory performance and ensuring the integrity of all stock movements.

The Role:

As the Inventory Controller Manager, you will take ownership of our cycle counting programme, leading a small team to deliver consistent, accurate, and timely stock counts. You will coordinate daily and weekly plans, investigate discrepancies, and partner closely with Inwards Goods, Buyers, and Store Management to maintain a high standard of inventory reliability.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment, is confident in decision-making, and is committed to continuous improvement across stock controls and operational processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and support the Cycle Counting team to achieve daily and weekly stock accuracy targets
  • Develop and execute cycle count schedules based on operational priorities
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, including root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Maintain accurate stock records within our SAP inventory system
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance stock flow and reduce error rates
  • Work collaboratively with Inwards Goods, Department Managers, and Store Leaders
  • Prepare, analyse, and present inventory performance and accuracy reports
  • Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and company policies at all times

What are we looking for:

  • Proven experience in inventory control, warehousing, or logistics
  • Previous supervisory or team leadership experience (preferred)
  • Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Confident leadership style with the ability to motivate and develop a small team
  • Experience using SAP system and MS Excel
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build cross-departmental relationships
  • A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of outcomes
  • Physical capability suited to a busy retail environment
  • Forklift licence advantageous but not essential
