Queenstown Retail Sales Assistants Wanted

We operate multiple retail store in New Zealand selling souvenirs and high-quality beauty, health and food products to our customers. We are currently looking for five (5) Sales Assistants to join us in Queenstown. You will report to your Store Manager and be responsible for the following duties:

• Meet and greet customers, tour conductors, escorts and guides on arrival
• Handle till sales, overseas packaging and postage
• Provide excellent client service by anticipating and attending to customer’s needs and exceeding expectations
• Portray a gracious, friendly, energetic and engaging manner and be at all times respectful and professional
• Provide assistance and information on products, services, policies to customers
• Answer questions from customers about products and make recommendations
• Monitor customer’s and external’s clients’ needs
• At all times adhere to service standards and policies set by the managers
• Communicate effectively with store manager, store team and external clients
• Maintain professional standards of dress code and good level of personal presentation and hygiene
• Participate and assist in stock takes and maintaining stock
• Maintain good knowledge of all products
• Performing all duties as required by the store manager
• Complying Health and Safety in workplace. You will be offered a permanent position and be required to work a minimum of 30 hours per week. You must be available to work flexible hours including late nights, weekends and public holidays up to 50 hours per week. You will be paid $23.50 to $30 per hour based on your skills and attributes. You should have a minimum of 6 months of work experience in sales in retail and good communication skills. Fluency in Mandarin is preferred as 90% of our customers are tourists from Mandarin speaking countries and we work with tour guides from Asia.
