This long-established New Zealand moving and distribution business has been providing professional furniture relocation services for nearly 30 years. With branches across the country, they're known for their reliability, security, friendly customer service and modern, well-maintained fleet.
We're looking for a skilled and motivated Class 2 Driver to join their team, delivering furniture to residential homes throughout Christchurch. If you're confident operating a Class 2 truck and enjoy hands-on work, this could be the perfect role for you.
Hours:Monday to Friday - 7:30am to 5:00pm, based in Hornby
Key duties:
- Safely operate a Class 2 manual-transmission truck to deliver furniture to residential homes across Christchurch
- Carry out all associated labouring tasks, including manual handling and lifting of items up to 25kg
- Use appropriate lifting equipment-such as hand trolleys and jacks-to support efficient loading and unloading of goods
Job requirements:
- A valid Class 2 driver's licence with proven experience operating manual-transmission trucks
- Metro driving experience within Christchurch or similar urban environments
- Physically fit and able to meet the demands of regular manual handling and lifting up to 25kg
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Confident communicator with a professional, customer-focused attitude
- Reliable, punctual and able to work effectively as part of a team
The successful applicant will:
- Be flexible with working hours, including occasional weekend work
- Demonstrate a hardworking, honest and reliable work ethic
- Be physically fit and comfortable with regular lifting up to 25kg
- Be a professional, safety-minded driver with strong geographical knowledge of Christchurch
