PAYMENT METHODS

Payment instructions will be sent to the winning bidder as soon as possible after an auction has closed. If you win an auction over a weekend or public holiday, payment instructions will be forwarded on the next working day. Please ensure you quote your auction number when making payment to enable quicker handling of your item/s. Our bank statement is checked once a day.

Payment can be made via Cash, EFTPOS, Credit Card, Pay Now, Afterpay and Bank Deposit.

If you do not receive an email from us with payment instructions please check your junk mail.

Standard Delivery Service

Normally we will ship your order within 3-5 working days after payment is received. Delivery times vary depending on distance to your location. Our carriers will endeavour to give you advance notice of the delivery to your address on the day whenever practical.

In general, large orders are delivered to your specified address whenever possible. The carrier will call you in advance to notify you of the envisaged delivery date and time. Please ensure that there is someone present to accept and sign for the delivery. The driver will be on site for up to 10 minutes at drop off.

Please note that deliveries to some rural areas are subject to rural distance and fuel surcharges. While we try to present accurate delivery charges, Trade Depot Ltd. reserves the right to charge for additional delivery costs after the order has been placed. Please note that you may be contacted by our customer services in the case when the actual cost to deliver to your address is higher than the presented delivery charge at time of purchase.

Deliveries of items weighing over 30Kg require you to have 1 suitable unloading person on site able to carry 30Kg in addition to the driver.

Goods Delivery and Pick-up claims.

All deliveries require a person present to unpack and inspect delivery and sign for goods received in good condition and free from breakages/damage. It is advisable that they immediately open packages and inspect for signs of damage or defect.

Signing for goods or accepting goods without a person present may be either:

• a waiver of your rights to claim for transport damage; or
• a reduction of your rights to claim for faults/damage in manufacturing etc.

Do not sign “undamaged” unless you are completely satisfied with the condition of the contents in terms of breakages and damage or defect.

Deliveries exclude special delivery services – e.g. quick, after hours, unpacking & assembly, box / pallet removal, installation, placement within home, and time greater than 10 minutes on site.

Easy Returns:

Trade Depot offers an easy returns (change of mind) policy. We want you to be happy with your selection and it’s suitability! We offer a “no questions” 28 day right of return is offered on all goods purchased. Goods must be unused and perfectly new. Freight will be at the cost of the purchaser for items returned, but contact us as we will do what we can to reduce this cost to our valued customers. Naturally goods will have to be returned in almost-original packaging / condition.

Restocking Fee:

Other returns will attract a restocking fee (minimum 20%) if returned after the 28 days or if the unit is not returned as saleable (packaging/usage).

Once you ordered the installation service:

Our team will be notified of your installation request when they check and accept your order into our system. Once we dispatch your order or you pick your order up, we will notify our appropriate area installer to book an appointment at a suitable time with you. Please make sure to check your items immediately upon delivery for defects and damages and PRIOR to the installer appointment. The installer will not be able to install a defective unit and you will be charged the standard installer call-out fee.

Installation fee:

Our installation price quote is based on an uncomplicated and straightforward installation that requires no additional materials or alterations to your space. If our installer encounters more complex situations, they will let you know if there will be additional charges to install your unit.

Removal

If you purchase the unit with installation, for a small surcharge, we can also collect your old unit and recycle it when we come to install your new unit.

If you purchase the removal service, please make sure that your old unit is fully disconnected from power and water if you are able to do so. Gas disconnections should be undertaken by a licensed gas fitter so our installer will perform the disconnection. Old wall mounted clothes dryers must be taken off the wall.

Please note that we do not offer old unit removal without purchasing the installation service. We do not remove your old unit on delivery. We remove it when we come to install your new unit.

Consumer Guarantees Act

The New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act sets out certain guarantees goods have to meet. It specifies rights and remedies available to you if our goods fail to meet one or more of these guarantees. Trade Depot, its warranties, and its terms of sale will comply with all requirements of the Consumer Guarantees Act.

Standard Warranty and Terms of Sale

"When things go wrong, we’ll do our best to right them no matter who is at fault."

Trade Depot offers a standard 12-month warranty on most items excluding circumstances and items noted under Warranty Limitations. We will repair, replace or refund the item depending on how serious the fault is. The warranty only covers damage to the item and may not cover consequential losses or costs.

• Trade Depot offers an easy return policy with money back.
• Spare/replacement parts are often replaced free or very low cost if you’ve damaged/misplaced them and even if the warranty time period has expired.
• When installation of replacement parts is a minor, simple task or does not require a professional service person, we may ask for you to install these yourself.

Extended Warranty

In addition to our standard 12-month warranty, some of our items and manufacturer ranges come with an extended manufacturer/parts warranty. Our website will clearly state any extended warranty terms on our individual product pages.

Warranty Limitations

The standard and extended warranty do not cover:

• Normal wear and tear
• Misuse of a product and/or use for which it was not designed
• Neglect, deliberate damage, failure to care for or maintain the product in an acceptable manner
• Unauthorised repairs or modifications
• Minor imperfections not affecting performance or decorative value
• Damage caused after removal and reinstallation, for example when moving house
• Installation by persons not qualified to perform them. For example, a gas stove must be installed by a qualified gas technician. The warranty is for personal or household use only. It excludes commercial/industrial, rental property and item rental use.

Warranty Terms

Limited Warranty Claim Costs/Fees

• Free warranty areas include homes in central city suburbs/areas of Auckland, Hamilton, Tauranga, Mt Maunganui, Wellington and Christchurch (excluding outlining areas and Islands).
• In these areas, Trade Depot will endeavour to repair, replace or service your warranty claim within a 5 working day period. In other areas, a travel surcharge and callout fees will apply which will be waived in a return-to-base situation.
• Items to be serviced/inspected must be in a suitable (thoroughly clean) condition otherwise costs of cleaning and repair preparation may apply.

Unauthorised Repairs / Repairers Repairs and repairers must be authorised by Trade Depot Limited otherwise their repair costs may not be covered in full by warranty. The amount covered will be assessed by Trade Depot.

Installation Workmanship and Materials Installations and workmanship not carried out by personnel authorised by Trade Depot Limited are excluded by the provisions of this warranty. Please ensure you obtain a comprehensive written warranty from your tradesman for all materials and workmanship completed and keep a copy of quotes, invoices, warranties and all correspondence. All goods must be installed, serviced and/or operated by a qualified experienced tradesperson.

• Installations must comply with industry standards and normal practices including pre-installation inspection and checking and post-installation testing of all functions for failure. Failure to comprehensively inspect for defects/flaws before installation (and on immediate arrival) can in some circumstances limit your claim under the company warranty. This is due to the company not having control/care or custody of the product.
• Sanitary, Plumbing and Drainage items must be installed by a registered industry professional.
• Electrical Installations must be undertaken by a licensed electrical worker and a Certificate of Compliance or Electrical Safety Certificate (including Registration / Practicing licence number) may be required.

Consequential loss, installation and costs are generally not covered by warranty Trade Depot will not meet the costs of tradesmen, services, penalties or any other losses/costs whatsoever caused by any event/failure including time-to-time lateness, errors and damaged parts.

Installation without pre-inspection for visible faults and for correct items/parts supply Failure to comprehensively inspect for defects/flaws/correct items/in-full before installation (and on immediate arrival) can in some circumstances limit your claim under the company warranty. This is due to the company not having control/care or custody of the product after that time.

Not Transferable Warranties are not transferable beyond the original purchaser.
