350 Chev V8 Hamilton Jet "Deep Throat"
Description
350 Chev fully marinized Mercrusier V8 with copper heat exchanger and water cooled exhausts. I think the hull is based on a Hamilton Jet52 with the steering wheel on the right and with planing strakes. I brought this boat in 2008 with a Holden 308 and changed it to the 350 Chev with 4 bolt mains. The decks were replaced with marine ply and fiberglassed. It hasn't been in the water or started since 2019 so will need a bit of work to get it back in the water. 2x 35ltr stainless steel fuel tanks and sand trap. Comes with a wakeboard tower and rear tow point for biscuits. The carburetor will need rebuilding, it's a Rochester quadrajet with an aluminum Edelbrock intake. I have a new starter motor to be fitted. This setup was doing 85 km/hr on the water after a good wax under the hull. Steering nozzle is a Scott 96mm and jet is a 2 stage Colorado with a bronze bullet nose impeller. I think these were retipped to 21 degrees. The trailer will probably have to be put on the back of a flatbed tow truck as I don't know the condition of the wheel bearings. 3 of the 4 tyres don't hold air. Trailer is registered but no WOF

The other axle I had replaced with trojan tapered stubs and hubs. I only recently took the carburetor and flame arrestor off. If would personally be taking the heads off before starting the engine again and re lube the valve train as most likely it would be dry of oil inside. The risers probably need replacing.
