37" Ketch - Sam Crocker (Sunk) $1 Reserve
Description
Boat sunk 2 weeks ago during lock down. Very sad.
She had a small patch near the keel (let in about 1 litre per hour) Battery and bilge system must have failed and eventually sank with too much water. (Photo 2 shows this)
$500 starting price but happy for fixed price offers (above or below) for serious buyers that are committed to doing something positive with her and can move quickly.
Either someone who would have the time and energy to give her new life. Or, alternatively can move swiftly to salvage all the good parts and dispose of the rest.
Is now on the hard in Seaview Marina Wellington. hardstand fees ($22 per day)
Has a solid steel keel, Oak frames with cedar planking. Rudder is solid oak.
Rear mast and boom broken.
Main boom broken near mast join
Has a Yanmar 30hp Diesel. Marine Shop sucked the salt water out and filled gearbox and engine with diesel. Removed injectors and have them soaking in diesel. Engine then topped up with more diesel through injector holes. Engine was able to be turned over and is not seized.
