Honda CB750 Cafe Racer 1978
$5,550
Description
1978 Honda CB750 Supersport, last of the original S.O.H.C models. This bike is 40 years old now, so rego is only $60 a year! Has rego into September and will get it a new Wof when sold. Classic Café Racer build, much time and money spent. Since the Honda SOHC 750’s are getting more and more collectible [expensive], I have not altered the frame and kept it with the original headers. Loud but not obnoxious – burns a nice pipe. New pistons fitted approx 3000K ago [got receipts]. Electric and kick starts. Easy to ride, handles nice and is even comfortable for a sporty Café Racer. Rear-sets and their levers are adjustable. New oil and filter has recently been done. Viewing welcome.
I put a period-look Cemetery Circuit sticker on it, since that’s held in my hometown, but the bike has never been raced. It has my own badges discretely fitted onto rear of oil tank, but these are removable if not to your taste.
Be just the thing for Septembers Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride, or even a cool Bar or Café display! It is a fun bike to ride and the admiring comments from passer-by’s; endless.
I had it previously advertised on Trademe, heaps of watchers but no sale – so $1 reserve! I believe it’s worth at least $7500, but let’s see what the Market decides. Don’t be put-off because it’s not in your town, NZ Motorcycle Movers would get it to your place - from here be approx. $350 to Auckland, $250 Hamilton, $150 Wellington, $450 South Island.
Payment within 4 days please. You can pay for it and I can store it until you get a chance to pick it up.
