1979 Harley Davidson XLS Sportster 1000cc Ironhead Custom Gloss Black
Owned for 5 years, has been stored for most of those, mainly in my apartment.
Purchased like this in showroom condition, at the time it had never been on the road.
I have put around 1000kms since owning, the furthest was to beach hop a few years back, but it is suited to smooth roads, city or highways, due to the rigidness of the frame.
Solid bike, always starts with fresh gas and battery. I put a new battery in for its first ride in 3 years in January, so that is fresh.
Put a new close ratio Andrews 4 speed gear box in, in 2015.
Has fresh WOF and Rego on hold.
This will be in the “vintage” class next year, so registration becomes significantly cheaper, if you want to ride it.
