Suzuki GSX750 2001

The GSX750 is a handsome, retro-designed roadster based around the oil-cooled inline-four engine design used in the GSX750 sports tourer. A steel-tube cradle frame, aluminium twin-shock swingarm and conventional forks provide capable handling, and twin front brake discs allow strong stopping power. The 750cc engine capacity provides ample power and torque, and is a much more satisfying ride than smaller machines like Suzuki's Bandit 600. The well-proven oil-cooled engine is extremely reliable and economical, and the impressive build quality make the GSX750 a suitable commuting and cruising motorcycle.

Inspired by many bikes on cafe racers of instagram, wrenchmonkees, bikeexif and silodrome, this Neo-classic, modern retro cafe street version has undergone a substantial strip down and rebuild.

The rebuild included the removal of much excess weight, and simplification of the bike, minimising the bulky lighting and large rear wing, custom seat, simplification of the instruments, to create a more aggressive cafe racer inspired stance all while keeping a 2-seater comfortable upright rising position.

Pretty much everything has been taken apart, cleaned, painted, re-greased, polished and reassembled. The wheels, brakes, front shocks and engine panels have been finished in a combination of high gloss and satin black extreme heat ceramic paint.

The bulky air box has been removed and replaced by 4 separate pod filters, and the huge muffler swapped for a smaller slip-on chrome shorty reverse cone. The carburettors have been re-jetted, and the bike now has a sporty bark of a sound with a chirpier throttle response. The seat has been made with a custom fibreglass pan, with new foam upholstered in a custom diamond stitch black vinyl. It unlocks with the original key, keeping a stock feel. The large heavy battery has been replaced with 2 x new ultrabatt lithium batteries along with the rest of the electrics hidden under the seat. The bike has a new DID chain
