Daimler SP250 (Dart)

1961 Daimler SP250 (Dart), This is a NZ new car, first sold in Auckland, in original condition and has been in storage for the past 35 years. The registration is on hold which means the car still has black number plates and we have the original ownership papers. It also has the stiffening struts fitted in the rear wheel arches. It has the hard top which requires re-upholstering and new catches, a soft top, a full skirt and a rear skirt, all in very good condition. The interior upholstery is also in very good condition. I have recently got the 2.5 litre V8 engine running after fitting electronic ignition, coil, battery, radiator cap, oil and filter. Also fitted are new clutch master and slave cylinders.The lights, indicators etc all work. Further work required that I'm aware of are a generator rebuild, exhaust system, tyres, brake overhaul, front bumper fitted, fiberglass repair on drivers door where wing mirror was fitted and some re-chroming.The car can be driven but the handbrake is the only way to control stopping at present. We are selling the car due to too many interests and not enough time.This car is ideal for an enthusiast to complete and get back on the road with minimal effort.
