Alfa Romeo GT 2005
Description
I've owned this Alfa GT for 2 years and it's a real pleasure to drive. I'm selling it because...well a new family member is planned.
Overall the car is in good condition for its age and mileage. Steering is really precise, lovely Alfa engine (2.0 JTS), well looked after and serviced. Really comfortable, big boot and quite a rare Alfa in NZ.
Last serviced in December 2018 and comes with plenty of service history. It had 4 new Hankook tyres 2 years ago when I bought it and still have plenty of tread from the photos. It had a new clutch kit in March 2013,
Interior is pretty tidy, leather seats, no rips. Cruise control, trip computer and Bluetooth connection to factory Bose stereo. Comes with 2 keys, an original...not the red master key and a spare I had cut.
-Rego and WOF'd to August 2019 -Cambelt was done at 84,000 kms in October 2010 and at 155,700 kms in March 2016
The cons:
When cold it does judder a bit from an idle start - you can ease this with the accelerator and when the engine reaches temperature its not an issue.
It does drop a tiny amount of oil, probably a common issue for its age and mileage and really not a problem with performance.
One of the selespeed gear paddles on the steering wheel has broken off so on the open road or out of city mode it's revert to type and use the gear stick for upshift. The city automatic mode works just fine.
As from the photos the alloys are badly scuffed and the body does have a few bumps and scrapes, all bar one were from the previous owners. I've touched up a few with some matched Alfa Rosso paint.
Air con doesn't work. It doesn't blow cold but the heater is fine.
It's been serviced by Angus McLeod of Earlswood Classics and the Italian Job in town. I'm sure both could give you a second opinion.
Questions and Viewings welcome. The car is in Richmond suburb.
