Description

1936 Nash Hotrod

Brought as a project earlier this year with no wof or rego and have done a ton of work to get it to where it is now, fully road legal, Brand new wof and a years rego.

NZ New RHD New Wof and Rego Awesome 30s shape with rounded fenders running boards and suicide rear doors Flathead 6 with a larger Stromberg carb Electric fuel pump and fuel pressure regulator. 3spd manual with straight cut first gear 12v Conversion Rebuilt brakes Rebuilt shocks Rebuilt water pump Rebuilt king pins Professionally lowered Professionally tinted New 7" and 8" Chrome Smoothies It has been fully reupholstered and looks amazing. Hydraulic brakes Manual opening vent Vintage towing light One wiper (factory) No seat belts (factory) Have a cool vintage woodgrain racing wheel to go on it. Body in very good condition, I believe it has been restored at some stage and well cared for, it has the odd chip scratch and blemish but only minor stuff. Comes with the original wheels with wide white walls and caps.

Great candidate for a V8 repower but it gets along fine as it is, being a 3 speed it hasn't got long legs but it gets around town fine and still sits ok around 100kph.

If you are bidding you are to call to arrange a time to view the car to satisfy yourself with its condition and what you are prepared to pay - No excuses.

If you are from out of town and cannot view please call to arrange collection.

May look at a trade for a t bucket or something else old and cool but prefer to sell.

Questions & Answers

  • What work have you done to get it back on the road? zadal (299) • 12:45 pm, Tue, 17 Jun Alot, my number is there, give me a call. Thanks over_lord (71) • Tuesday, 17 June 2025
  • Viewing is available until the 29th then I will be busy (school holidays) If you intend on bidding please view before then. The car is nearly 90yrs old, it is no land speed record holder, it will sit happily at 90kph, (it will go faster but being a three speed it's not geared for that) The gearbox is non syncromesh. (Comes with a spare box) The fuel sender needs a new float. The key needs to be cut to match the drivers door lock. Please call for any questions and to arrange viewing. • What a good looking car. Good luck with the sale. davetrish (32) • 5:13 pm, Thu, 19 Jun Cheers over_lord (71) • Thursday, 19 June 2025
  • Due to the age of the vehicle it is being sold in "as is where is" condition. No warranty given or implied. Please do your due diligence and come and look at the car before you bid to satisfy yourself with its condition and what you are prepared to pay, plenty of time to do so before the 29th, for any questions please call the number listed. Seller comment Friday, 20 June 2025
  • must you double the clutch on all gears or low only? biggles36 (112) • 3:00 pm, Fri, 20 Jun Upshifting you don't need to double clutch. Down shift is more of "getting a feel for it" in regards to speed and timing. Downshifting to second you can feel when it's ready to go by applying a little pressure. Down shift into first you need to be going slow or stopped as it's a very low gear, at the lights if you blip second then first it goes it easily as it lines up the gears. With a bit of practice you get the hang of it fairly quickly, Cheers over_lord (71) • Friday, 20 June 2025
  • Have you got any photos of the rear of the car thanks karen356 (182) • 1:07 pm, Sun, 22 Jun Two photos of the rear uploaded, thanks. over_lord (71) • Sunday, 22 June 2025

  • Bidders please remember if you intend on bidding viewing is available any day this week, all bidders are to view the vehicle to satisfy yourself with its condition and what you want to pay, if you are out of town and happy to bid blind please call to discuss. Viewing unavailable 30th-3rd due to school holidays. Seller comment Monday, 23 June 2025
  • If you haven't viewed or even called to explain why you can't view but your serious about buying and organizing transportation then risk getting your bid pulled. Seller comment Thursday, 26 June 2025
  • As previously stated, due to school holidays the last days for viewing are this weekend. Viewing will not be available next week. I could possibly hold some last minute viewings on the 4th before auction closes that evening but they will need to be arranged ASAP as I am busy with kids. If you want to.bid, view the car or call to discuss payment and collection or risk you bid being removed. Seller comment Friday, 27 June 2025
  • Why are you saying that you will remove bids ? That's not how Tradme works. If someone wants to buy sight unseen then that's not your problem or concern. All bids are legally binding and the bidder is required to complete transaction .The seller cannot remove bids unless asked . marty0666 (122) • 7:17 pm, Fri, 27 Jun I haven't yet as there is still time to view or call to explain why you can't and to talk about payment and collection. All bidders are to view the vehicle to satisfy themselves with its condition and what they are prepared to pay. If you do not want to view or call. Don't bid. over_lord (71) • Friday, 27 June 2025
  • This is not a forum. View the car to satisfy yourself with its condition and what you are prepared to pay or call me to explain why you can't and to arrange payment and collection if you win. Simple Seller comment Friday, 27 June 2025
  • Hello any viewing tomorrow kitty175 (370) • 8:17 pm, Sat, 28 Jun Yes, call to arrange. over_lord (71) • Saturday, 28 June 2025
  • Yep, good on ya. It's because someone bids sight unseen, overbids everyone else, THEN, wants to come and inspect the car and starts to negotiate the price down trying to avoid the healthy and real competition. Try doing that at professional auctions... shatro23 (190) • 10:47 am, Sun, 29 Jun That's it mate, been there done that too many times, everyone has had weeks to view over_lord (71) • Sunday, 29 June 2025
  • As previously stated viewing is now unavailable due to school holidays, I however can fit in some last minute viewings on Thursday the 4th before auction closes by arrangement. Thanks to everyone who has made the effort to view and call, if you haven't done so and wish to bid please call or view next Thursday. Thanks Seller comment Sunday, 29 June 2025

  • DO THE ORIGINAL WHEELS COME WITH THE CAR AS WELL AS THE ONES SHOWN ON THE CAR ADVERTISED?? BRIAN rareone (896) • 3:17 pm, Tue, 1 Jul Yes it does as stated in auction details. Bidders from our of town please keep this in mind as I would not recommend putting these in the car when winner collects as the interior is new and may damage or mark the fabric and carpet. Viewing is available this Thursday and Friday by arrangement. All bidders to view or call. Thanks over_lord (71) • Tuesday, 1 July 2025
  • Did you not have to have seat belts for WOF? rareone (896) • 3:19 pm, Tue, 1 Jul No, the car is nearly 90 years old and was not made with seatbelts, if you have any other questions or wish to bid or arrange viewing my number is there please call. Thanks over_lord (71) • Tuesday, 1 July 2025
