Rolls-Royce Silvershadow 1972

This 1972 Rolls Royce Silver Shadow sedan is painted in Larch Green with an original green Everflex vinyl top with hand painted cream fine lines to the waist-rails. The hubcap beauty trim rings are also in Larch Green.

The bumpers and over riders are chrome.

The interior is finished in magnolia Connolly leather and beige Wilton carpet with walnut woodwork, which like most of the car is in reasonable condition. The magnolia leather headliner is in very good condition. The interior leather, which is mostly in good condition, is showing its age being a bit faded, so recolouring would improve it substantially.

The exterior of the car is reasonably straight and appears to be rust free. The paint is tired and faded in parts, although from a couple of meters away you probably wouldn’t know. There is paint cracking in some small areas and a patch of paint is missing on the boot where there is a small dent.

Recent work on the car included new front and rear brake pads, oil and filter change and new spark plugs. The car drives and stops fairly well and has light steering making it easy to maneuver. The exhaust system is a bit noisy and needs to be improved.

The ac compressor and receiver drier has for some reason been removed, these are however common parts. The compressor pipework remains.

This car lends its self to someone to quietly refurbish/restore it, which was my intention, but after nearly two years of ownership it still remains down the list of projects to do, hence the decision to sell.

Alternatively because of its current condition, a different type of person could make it really special and “trick” it.

The car comes with an original owners handbook and CD's for a workshop manual and spare parts manual.
