Description

Loved for 14 odd years and thousands of hours put into her, spent on tour and in the bush - For sale is my very rare model 1970 Land Cruiser, not my wife.

If I tally up the cash I have put into this truck, it comes to somewhere around 20-22k!

Last on the road in 2015. I put the registration on hold to do a full restoration and have got most of the way through it. However, two kids later and a lot less time, it is time for it to go.

1970 Land Cruiser 13BT 3.4L Turbo - straight in replacement for the B that it was running. Come Up Winch Aftermarket rims and rubber.

The body been painstakingly restored, new pieces welded in over the years. No shortcuts have been taken. The underside has been restored and resprayed also. All panels are steel, not fibreglass. It has been primed ready for the topcoat. New professionally done exhaust.

The chassis which is the downfall of these, is in near mint condition and offers many many more years of fun. Has a tow bar also - no rust to be seen.

The wiring was redone by Taylors Auto Electrical (West Auckland) and new fuse box installed. That included new tail lights.

It starts first time, with the engine only done around 160k and runs very clean. Fuel tank is under the drivers seat.

Hubs were serviced around 2000km ago and the 4x4 box is in good shape. I replaced an axel that I broke and it has a new drive shaft.

Roof goes on and comes off easily, also primed ready to paint.

Sale includes a set of the original rims and rubber as well as a power steering kit that I planned to install.

Replaced fluids regularly. Unfortunately 6 months ago, I put transmission fluid in the brakes (that's what happens when you don't label your fluids!) so it needs new seals in the master cylinder - brakes not currently working so will need to be picked up by trailer. Happy to drop off for a fee.

All the HARD work is done! Basically chose the colour, sort the brake seals, good to go. I could probably even find the last warrant sheet to show how clean the truck is.
