Amber Glass Container

I am not sure how to describe this or what it was for. I hope someone out there can tell me.

Description of item, A lip at the top with leather piece around the neck It has pattern marks down the side's. Numbers and markings on the bottom. Sizes are approximate.

This is the approximate diameter of the container. Height approximate: 11cm Top inside edge 5.50cm Top outside edge 6.5cm The widest part 8.5cm
