You will be sent an email soon after the auction expires with payment details and instructions. It may take up to 3 days for Direct Sewing Machines, Parts, and Accessories to see your payment in our bank account as a result of bank clearance times.

Direct Sewing Machines, Parts, and Accessories allows 5 working days for cheque clearance. Once that time has passed, we will send your purchase.

Unless credit conditions have been specifically prearranged by Direct Sewing Machines, Parts, and Accessories, payment for the products shall be made in full before physical delivery of products.

The auction reference number must be included in your deposit details, if sending a cheque. Please include a note stating this. For the customers payment to be recognised, this criterion has to be met. Direct Sewing Machines, Parts, and Accessories does not take any liability for delay in shipment if this criterion not met.

Lay-by: We offer lay-by on most of our products and we only require you place a 10% deposit (non-refundable) but please ask for conformation before you place a bid.

Tax/GST Invoices: We are GST registered GST and invoices are provided on request.

Unless free shipping is stated on the auction, customer shall pay for all shipping and handling charges. The "Buyer Delivery Address" must be sent as payment is made. We prefer this to be done using the Trademe Buyer Delivery Address function but in the case that it is emailed, the email policy applies (see below). Direct Sewing Machines, Parts, and Accessories does not take any liability for delay in shipment if this criterion is not met. Direct Sewing Machines, Parts, and Accessories shall deliver the products to the place of delivery elected by Customer and agreed to by Direct Sewing Machines, Parts, and Accessories ("Buyer Delivery Address").

Direct Sewing Machines, Parts, and Accessories may, at its discretion, deliver the products by instalments in any sequence (e.g., steam press and then steam press stand). This is a result of Courier tickets used.

Where multiple auction are won, delivery by instalments apply because each instalment shall be deemed to be the subject of a separate contract.

Any dates quoted by Direct Sewing Machines, Parts, and Accessories for the delivery of the products are approximates, only gathered from the courier company used and shall not form part of the Contract. Direct Sewing Machines, Parts, and Accessories shall not be liable for any delay in delivery of the products howsoever caused.

Unless the customer notifies Direct Sewing Machines, Parts, and Accessories differently on the day of delivery (this notification must be confirmed in writing within two days) the Products will be deemed to have been accepted by the customer as being in good condition and in accordance with the Contract.

Pick-up: Sorry, we cannot offer pick-up for domestic sewing machinery or mannequins. This is because of our direct supply chain management. Direct Sewing Machines, Parts, and Accessories has no showroom for domestic sewing machinery and mannequins. This allows us to cut costs and offer you the best price possible.

Favourite Seller List: Almost all of our customers are pleased with their trading experience with us and come back many times. We suggest you put us in your favourite sellers list so you can easily find us for any future purchases.

Feedback: We encourage the customer to place feedback after a trade is executed but urge customers with an issue with their purchase to contact us first, rather than responding initially with bad feedback. We are friendly and want your trading with Direct Sewing Machines, Parts, and Accessories to be a superior experience and hope to trade with you again in the future.

Auctions Listed: Direct Sewing Machines, Parts, and Accessories may revise or discontinue products at any time, without notice

Stock Levels: Please confirm stock levels before auctions close if you are purchasing a product with value exceeding $500 as we also retail through other channels and stock is often low. In the unfortunate event that this happens, we will contact you immediately after the auction closes.

Misinterpretation: If you are uncertain as to whether an item will be suitable for your needs or type of use, please contact us before purchasing (This is best done by using the question function). It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure the item they purchase will suit their needs.

Needles: If you have purchased needles, please ensure you are advised of which sizes you require after purchase. If you do not, Direct Sewing Machines, Parts, and Accessories will send either a mixture or what we think is best suited.

Troubleshooting: Direct Sewing Machines, Parts, and Accessories will provide general advice and technical assistance to Customer in accordance with the then-current service and technical support policies in effect. Service and support offerings may vary from product to product.

Emails: All emails sent to us must have your auction reference number in the subject line for it to be recognised.

Faulty Goods: Direct Sewing Machines, Parts, and Accessories’ auctions are subject to the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993. New products purchased under these Terms and Conditions directly from Direct Sewing Machines, Parts, and Accessories by an end-user customer may be returned by customer up to fourteen (14) days from the date of shipment for a replacement. In the event that goods have a fault, we will repair the faults. If this is not possible, we will replace the goods and only in the case that we cannot get a replacement, will the customer be given a refund. Refunds will only be given if goods are sent back with original packing.

Warranty: The same process as faulty goods claims applies to warranty claims (i.e., order of repair/replace/refund). The warranty period begins on the date products are received.

The Warranty provided by Direct Sewing Machines, Parts, and Accessories does not cover damage, fault, failure, or malfunction as a result of external causes, including accident, abuse, misuse, courier, problems with electrical power, servicing not authorized by Direct Sewing Machines, Parts, and Accessories, usage and/or storage and/or installation not in accordance with Product instructions, normal wear and tear, act of God, fire, flood, war, act of violence, or any similar occurrence; any attempt by any person other than Direct Sewing Machines, Parts, and Accessories personnel or any person authorised by Direct Sewing Machines, Parts, and Accessories, to adjust, repair or support the products supplied by Direct Sewing Machines, Parts, and Accessories.

Any service response times stated by Direct Sewing Machines, Parts, and Accessories in the service contracts are approximate only and Direct Sewing Machines, Parts, and Accessories shall not be liable for any direct or indirect loss or damage arising from its failure to meet such response times, howsoever occasioned.
