Stahlcar Scan Tools began with a simple idea back in 2011 - Offer the best car diagnostic tools with the best service experience possible. That idea, along with our passion for diagnostics led us to open our online store. A few years and thousands of satisfied customers later the mantra has not changed around here and were proud to be one of the leaders in car diagnostics in the Southern Hemisphere.

The idea came about from the same problem that face most of our customers, we wanted to know what diagnostic tool we could use on what vehicle so we could do it all ourselves. Living in New Zealand, our roads contain a massive range of cars on our roads from Europe, Asia and America all using a different range of diagnostic protocols. We found it was the same in Australia, so with little information on the internet about what was OBD2 on our roads and what tools worked with each vehicles we set out to make things a lot easier for the home mechanic. Most auto electricians charge around $100 for a fault code to be read and cleared, we wanted to make it an option for the consumer to now do it themselves with their own tool, as many times as they like for the same price.

There are a lot of mass produced diagnostic tools around, but most of them are rubbish. They can cause damage to your computer and some even to your car, so we make sure we have tested every model we sell and this ensures that every product on our website is the best around. We are proud to stock the very best brands such as iCarsoft, Foxwell, Xtool and our own Stahlcar brand. We work with the manufacturers directly or approved distributors to ensure that we have genuine products.
