All shipments are via a full track and trace, door to door service.

The tracking information is emailed to the customer on dispatch.

We do not risk untracked standard letter post.

Correct shipping and delivery details It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that; #The correct shipping option is selected for the delivery address, especially rural delivery. #All delivery address and best contact details are complete and correct. #The delivery location is secure.

We strongly recommend that you provide a best contact phone number for the courier driver.

Incorrect shipping or delivery details will cause delay and/or the shortfall to be paid manually.

Combined shipping This is normally available for multiple purchases. Please just ask for a quote via the listing Q&A, as we do not allow manual refunds for combined shipping post sale.

New Zealand shipping All shipments are via either Courier Post or Aramex Couriers. Which option we use is normally determined by both the value of the item, as well as the delivery address including requests to a PO Box.

International shipping This is available for all items but this option needs to be quoted separately on request once the destination address is confirmed. Please just ask for a quote via the listing Q&A.

All rates quoted are all-inclusive of any cross-border duties, taxes and handling charges (if applicable).

All international shipping must be to a street address and include a local phone number. We cannot ship internationally to either a PO Box, private bag, parcel locker, or mail drop depot.

Dispatch Orders are normally dispatched the following business day from sale.

Delivery time Whilst we can provide a likely delivery lead time based on prior experience, the precise delivery date and time cannot be guaranteed.

Can I pickup? Generally collection from our warehouse is not available as there is no public access.

Lost items Our occurrences of lost items is near nil.

Any risk of loss passes to the customer at the point the courier confirms that the shipment is confirmed as delivered.

Undeliverable shipments Where any shipment is deemed undeliverable to the address provided it is the customers responsibility to either; #Contact the courier to provide further delivery instructions or an alternative delivery address. #Pay any additional shipping charges required to redirect to another address.

Customer protection Outside of Trademe all customers are protected under the New Zealand Consumers Guarantees Act and the Fair Trading Act.

Misrepresented items Our team goes to considerable effort to ensure that all listing descriptions are factual, accurate and correct. In the unlikely event that our sales representation is proven to be clearly inaccurate, we will accept the book for return/refund, including paying the return freight.

Any requests for return/refund must be made immediately by email, within 24 hours of the item being confirmed as delivered and we will arrange the book to be immediately collected from you. No claims will be accepted beyond this time.

Damaged goods All claims must be made within 24 hours from the time that the item is confirmed as delivered and we will arrange the book to be immediately collected from you. No claims will be accepted beyond this time.

If you change your mind We are happy to accommodate changes to orders prior to dispatch including combined shipping on multiple purchases.

We do not provide refunds/returns where the customer has simply changed their mind once a book is paid for or has been dispatched.

All prices include GST if sold in New Zealand, and our GST number is included on all listings.

New A book that we sourced new from a publisher or their distributor.

As new A new book, but as we did not source it from a publisher - technically it is not brand new.

Near new As new with only one blemish/defect as stated.

Immaculate As new with only a couple of minor blemishes/defects as stated.

Excellent Permits multiple blemishes/defects as stated, but remains clean, complete and intact.

Tidy Includes damage such as tears, semi-detached covers/pages or water damage/other significant marks/staining, stamps and wear.

Reading copy A book that is very worn, soiled, damaged or partially mutilated, including the covers / pages detached or missing - but it is still complete enough to be at least readable.

We sell old books and ephemera, but we don't sell rubbish. Whilst the descriptions of tidy and reading copy are how the varying condition is technically categorised, an item would have to be very scarce or unusual for us to actually sell an item in this condition.

A picture says 1000 words Notwithstanding our descriptions, we still go to considerable effort to ensure that all need to know detail concerning a listing's imperfections or defects is made clearly obvious within the images.

Musty smelling books Please remember that even an old book that is still in near brand new condition, is still an old book, and can sometimes smell a little musty. This is simply the nature of old books but in extreme cases we will include this within the description.
