I'm a year off retiring, and I'm having a major clear-out of many things - in preparation for down-sizing considerably. I've decided to finally 'let go' my childhood dolls. There were just two of them and they are in perfect condition, complete with their 'real fibres' eye-lashes, closing eye-lids for sleeping and beautiful heads of hair! This one is dressed in her original fleecy-pyjamas outfit. It used to have a little gold metal label sewn onto her bib, but this has long ago been lost :-( I am fairly certain it was the 'Pedigree' label. Memory also tells me this doll came with the name 'Cheeky' or 'Cutie' ... it was something like that! I think I might be right with 'Cheeky' ...? If collectors have the knowledge, I would very much appreciate your help. This doll has her original sewn-in hair (very much a proud method of the manufacturer, 'Pedigree' - and she has open and close eyes with her original 'real fibres' lashes. Her brows and lip-blush are hand-painted on and still undamaged. Her jarmies are a little worse for age - the elastic has gone in the pants and there is one dome missing down the back-opening of the top. ('Pedigree' was perhaps best-known for its creation of the 'Sindy' doll, but made 'friends' for her). With her legs straight (i.e: not in a sitting position) she is 16 inches (or 41cms) tall. Beautiful undamaged condition.
