Helping entrepreneurs @ Startup Weekend Wellington

Written by Jeff in General at 11:59am, Tue 24 Jul 2012

Trade Me was founded by a young and hungry Sam Morgan back in 1999, and it’s this awesome spirit of entrepreneurialism we’re helping to foster this year through Startup Weekend Wellington.

Startup Weekend is a global grassroots movement where entrepreneurs, developers and designers work together to form new businesses in a 54-hour marathon of inspiration, collaboration, and fun. We’re sponsoring the Wellington event, with our strategy manager Mike DelPrete providing expert advice on the judging panel, along with Michael Koziarski from Southgate Labs, Marie-Claire Andrews from SmartShow, Steve O'Connor from CreativeHQ, Elyssa Pallai from Pocket.Jobs, and Joseph Stuart from the Ministry of Science and Innovation.

We reckon it takes guts and a lot of gusto to start a business, so it’s sure to be an exciting event full of talented individuals. Good luck to everyone involved. More...

Kiwi fashion icons join Trade Me

We’re stoked to welcome iconic NZ fashion brands Hallensteins and Glassons to Trade Me!

We’re also looking to have video available on other seller’s listings in the future, so watch this space.

Both stores offer free delivery, and flexible return and exchange policies. We think this provides buyers with great value and added confidence when making a purchase, especially when it comes to buying clothes online.  More...
