Marklin G 800 first version with no traction tyres and the need to activate switch twice to change direction of travel.

The loco has been restored: The body shells and tender base were totally stripped, undercoated, painted with Marklin colours and paints sourced in Germany and finished with a non-yellowing lacquer to protect the paintwork.

This loco is equipped with special pick-up shoes which Marklin issued in the early 50s, so that those locos equipped with the spoon style pick-ups could now run on the interrupted centre line.

The coal insert is a replica from Germany.

The loco runs and switches well (2x).

No box, no manual. Fairly priced - a bargain.
