Ducati 750 GT 1974
Description
I bought this bike in Dec 2011. It was a barn find for the previous owner. He had spent the usual eye watering amount of money on a professional engine rebuild, parts, paint etc but then ran out of puff. I bought the bike 90% complete and finished it off with professional help.
The engine had a professional rebuild whilst in the hands of the previous owner and runs very sweetly. It is standard GT apart from higher compression Sport pistons and a set of new Dellorto PHF 36mm carbs.
Rego is on hold. Bike will come with three months Rego and will have a brand new WOF. Bike has done less than 5k km since engine rebuild. There is the usual collection of bits and pieces, a number of manuals and receipts for parts from pretty much all the big bevel parts suppliers.
Frame Number - DM750S 754278 DGM 9595 Engine Number - DM750 754345
Now we can all see that the bike is not a standard looking GT so please don't start commenting on that. Nothing has been messed about with so it could easily be returned to standard if wished. Or you could do the whole hotrod treatment with a single 750 Sport seat fancy shocks etc. I would not have painted it like this by choice but I rather like the incognito look and the modern switchgear that works! Always fancied doing an orange metalflake paint job similar to the earlier models but never got to it. The orange paint job pictures are just to illustrate this and is not part of the sale.
This is a very tidy example of a Round Case Duke with a rebuilt engine and those of you seriously looking know how much that alone can cost.
