A beautiful dessert dish from the Tunstall Pottery of Hollinshead & Kirkham. Designed and painted by R Grocott, this dish was produced between 1932 & 1942 and shows 2 Viola flowers with some leaves, against a boldly coloured background. The dish, which is c180mm long, c150mm wide and c35mm deep, is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks or signs of crazing. There is a minute chip on the back, but it is under the glaze. the stamps on the back are either faint or smudged. An amazing survivor of the Art Deco era.
