When I started doing graphics work, the choosing of good quality full colour A3 laser printers became paramount. While every brand on the market had great sales pitches the proof was in their ability to print consistently. So I went to the different full colour A3 laser printer brands showrooms and ask them to print ten copies of some full colour images. Only three brands delivered. The top performer wanted a squillion dollars to purchase their machine and the next want two arms and a leg in monthly rental plus click rate. OKI C9600 and C9850 became the printers of choice so I purchase one of each for my offices. They delivered great service and the word got out that I enjoyed the OKI quality. So much so that some of the Auckland technicians would deliver the ex-rental machines to me for the spare consumables and spare parts.
