Kia ora, we are Craft Thursdays, a community group who meets every Thursday at the Te Atatu Community Hub.
During Pride Month 2024 we decided to get together and each knit or crochet squares for a blanket to be auctioned off and funds donated to Rainbow Youth.
As part of this we also held a workshop for the community to share our passion for knitting and crochet to anyone who wanted to learn. This blanket is the result - with many hours of love and care put into it, please consider placing a bid.
The lovingly crocheted floral squares are extra lovely - each representing a different flag in the LGBTTQIA+ community.
The material is mostly wool, with a few acrylic squares. The blanket has been washed and blocked. It will keep you cosy this winter and for many more to come! Nga mihi, Craft Thursdays!
