Having a clear out - check my other listings! For sale, fast and stable K1 racing kayak designed for smaller paddlers and junior paddlers. These have a big following in South Africa. Most of South Africa’s top paddlers started out in a guppy.

414cm length x 48cm width x 15cm height, spec weight about 11kg in fibreglass layup. Gelcoated hull and deck (nice and smooth, and good for keeping UV damage off the fibreglass and resin). Adjustable foot pedal steering with a kick up rudder for shallow water use. Super lightweight and easy to move around.

This is a really well designed boat for youth paddlers, it has a flatter bottom than many K1 boats so the initial stability is good, but it is fast and light enough for paddlers to immediately see speed improvements as their skill builds.

The Guppie is designed for competitive sprinting and marathon racing by kids up to the age of about 14 years (might be suitable for a small adult paddler, but probably would not go above about 55-60kg in weight, and would likely need to extend foot pedals for longer legs). Ideal to get the younger generation into K1 paddling.

This has been a great boat for my son to get into kayaking but he has moved into a larger boat now. Time to move it along! Hence $1 reserve - hopefully someone grabs a bargain and gives it a good home!
